Utah Photoshoot Locations

Gosh how beautiful is Utah?! This state is like a gold mine of beautiful photoshoot locations! I am seriously so lucky to live in this state that contains everything from the sand dunes to the salt flats. This list is to help you find your next spot for your next photoshoot! And the best part about this list? I will be updating it monthly with new locations! Albion Basin

Location: Albion Basin

Fee: $15 per car

Wildflowers are at peak during late July-early August! This is an extremely busy location, but the pictures are SO worth it!

Antelope Island

Location: Davis County

Fee: $15 per car

Travel Fee: $40

Such a beautiful place all year long! Make sure to bring bug spray if you go during the summer!

Bridal Veil Falls

Location: Provo Canyon

Travel Fee: $40

Who doesn't want a beautiful water fall in the background of your pictures? This location has the opportunity to have a faraway view of the water fall or you can stand right next to it!

Brigham City Temple

Location: Brigham City

Travel Fee: $70

A gorgeous temple to be sealed at or just take pictures in front of the beautiful architecture!

Buffalo Peak

Location: Provo Canyon

Travel Fee: $45

Open from July to October, this is a gorgeous spot for beautiful yellow wildflowers and an amazing scenic point of the Utah Lake! And best part is that you can bring your furry companions!

Cactus & Tropicals (SLC)

Location: Salt Lake City

Fee: $100/hr.

This greenhouse is gorgeous all year round and has an outside area as well!

Classic Skating (Orem)

Location: Orem

Such a unique and colorful place to take the cutest pictures! Also a great place to have a fun date night after your photoshoot!

Cross E Ranch

Location: Salt Lake City

Fee: $15 per person

They have an amazing sunflower festival that starts in September and their pumpkin patch opens in October!

Daybreak

Location: South Jordan

A beautiful place all year round to take cute pictures, whether its near the lake or in the heart of town!

Donut Falls Lower Area

Location: Big Cottonwood Canyon

A woodsy fairytale location that is filled with trees, water, and wildflowers only available between May and October. This is a great location for engagements or family pictures!

Dead Horse State Park

Location: Moab

Fee: $10 per vehicle

Travel Fee: $155

Looking for a unique place to propose at or just have your next photoshoot? Dead Horse State Park is SO beautiful it's crazy! If you have a chance to go to this location, DO IT!

Downtown SLC

Location: Salt Lake City

A romantic location to take pictures, with gorgeous architecture, beautiful art, and amazing views, you can't go wrong taking any type of pictures here.

Draper Temple

Location: Draper

A gorgeous temple to be sealed at or just take pictures in front of the beautiful architecture!

Gardner Village

Location: West Jordan

Fee: $50

This place is absolutely amazing and has so many possibilities for backgrounds! And not to mention, their decorations for each season can add the extra seasoning for your pictures!

Gilgal Sculpture Garden

Location: Salt Lake City

A fun garden filled with unique areas to take pictures in!

Hidden Valley Park

Location: Sandy

A beautiful intimate location close to the mountains that isn't up a canyon that you can walk to from the parking lot!

Jordan Pines Campground

Location: Big Cottonwood Canyon

THE it place for all snowy pictures! I mean come on, look at how beautiful this location is!

Ledgemere Picnic Area

Location: Big Cottonwood Canyon

A picnic area that is located right at the beginning of the canyon. This place has amazing views of the trees and the river!

Little Cottonwood Trail

Location: Little Cottonwood

An amazing location that's filled with amazing views of the canyon and trees. This is only accessible when there is no snow in the canyon. After going down into the trail you will be met with a beautiful river that makes a great background for pictures!

McPolin Barn

Location: Park City

Travel Fee: $50

Such a popular place to take your pictures no matter what season it is! Luckily there is rarely anyone ever at this location so for my shy people out there that don't like taking pictures in front of people, this is a perfect location!

Memory Grove Park

Location: Salt Lake City

A cute park that allows pups so please feel free to bring your best friend to the shoot, I promise they will have the time of their lives!

Millcreek Canyon

Location: Millcreek

Fee: Sometimes requires a $10 fee per vehicle when you leave the canyon

One of the many few canyons that allow pups, so take advantage of it!

Neff's Canyon Trail

Location: Salt Lake City

A beautiful canyon for any type of session. There are a ton of spots for amazing backgrounds! This canyon even allows dogs!

Ogden Botanical Gardens

Location: Ogden

Travel Fee: $60

A FREE botanical garden? Yes please! Such a beautiful place if you want flowers in your pictures!

Ogden Canyon

Location: Ogden

Travel Fee: $65

Probably the closest location you are going to get if you want those fall pinterest pictures!

Old Highway Road

Location: Mountain Green

Travel Fee: $70

A beautiful green landscape with mountains in the background. A great background for any type of pictures.

Park City Main Street

Location: Park City

Travel Fee: $60

Cute historic buildings to take pictures in front of and after go shopping around your favorite stores!

Red Ledges

Location: Spanish Fork Canyon

Travel Fee: $75

A great place for those unique Utah Red Rocks, without driving down to St. George to see them!

Salt Flats

Location: Wendover

Travel Fee: $150

The coolest place to take your pictures at! There is truly nothing like the Salt Flats here in Utah.

Salt Lake City Hall

Location: Salt Lake City

A beautiful building with amazing architecture. This is a great place for engagements or elopements!

Sego Lily Gardens

Location: Sandy

A cute free garden to take beautiful pictures at! Unfortunately, this garden does not allow dogs, but you can take pictures with your best friend in the parking lot!

Springville Art Museum

Location: Springville

Fee: $40

A beautiful and romantic location to have your photos taken. This museum not only has beautiful art, but has amazing places to take photos!

Squaw Peak

Location: Provo

Travel Fee: $55

A gorgeous hill that peaks with yellow flowers around May. This is a great location for cute wildflowers pictures that you can take with your furry friends!

Squaw Peak Lookout Point

Location: Provo

Travel Fee: $55

This location looks right out of Scottland! Such a beautiful location that features the Utah lake in the background!

Sundance

Location: Provo Canyon

Travel Fee: $65

A gorgeous location for a woodsy feel along with brides, stairs, and water! And after your photoshoot, you can explore the shops!

Studio Noire Noir

Location: Salt Lake City

Studio Fee: $45 per hour

The best studio for natural lit pictures and is the best spot for your next photoshoot!

St. Regis Deer Valley

Location: Deer Valley

Travel Fee: $60

A beautiful hotel to propose to your special someone, take family pictures, or any other pictures you can think of!

Tanner's Flat Campground

Location: Little Cottonwood Canyon

A gorgeous location especially in the fall! And it even has a place to take pictures with the river in the background!

Thanksgiving Point

Location: Lehi

Fee: $100

Beautiful grounds to take pictures at during anytime of the year! The tulip festival during April-May is the most popular time to take photos!

The Capitol

Location: Salt Lake City

Looking for beautiful architecture for your next photoshoot? The Capitol has it! It even has the famous Cherry Blossoms that usually bloom in April!

The Kinlands

Location: Riverton

Fee: $15

Perfect year-round location that features a pumpkin patch in the fall and a Christmas tree farm in the winter!

The Saltair

Location: Magna

If you are not willing to make the drive to the Salt Flats, the Saltair is your next best option! And its best feature is the Great Salt Lake with the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see!
